There are lots of ways in which you can help us to help badgers in Lancashire.
Members can help with surveying and monitoring badger setts. This is very important to help keep an up-to-date record of all setts – without this we cannot gather evidence to prosecute criminals in court, or information on badger setts that helps to protect them in development.
We also carry out practical tasks such as sett protection work e.g. sett capping (a more permanent way of protecting setts from badger digging)
We will give you training, support and advice, and you will never be asked to work alone.
Some of our volunteers have been trained in badger handling techniques and are now able to go out on badger rescues.
We are always on the lookout for people who can help in an administrative capacity too, so please Contact us if you can spare just a little of your time.
