We can do a Desktop Survey to check for known badger setts (contact us at database@lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk) as well as Ground Surveys (contact us at enquiries@lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk.

However, as a service to people involved in development issues on or near badger setts, we have made the English Nature "Badgers and Development" booklet available for download on our web-site.

This booklet explains about the types of things that can be done within certain distances of badger setts. This is slightly out-of-date, as it does not include details of the new rules which protect badger setts and any foraging/feeding grounds used by badgers. However, it is useful background information for people (like planners, developers and project/site managers) interested in planning and development issues.
