Helping Out

Members can help with surveying badger setts, feeding grounds or Sett Protection work such as sett capping. You are also more than welcome if you could help at Slide Shows and Talks in the evenings to community groups and at Fundays and Shows at Country parks, Fairs and large country/agricultural Shows.

We are always on the lookout for people who can help in an administrative capacity too, so please Contact Us if you can spare just a little of your time.

We also provide help and advice in the following areas if there are any issues or problems involving badgers:

Occasionally badgers can cause subsidence problems where they excavate setts. We willingly work with landowners to minimise any damage the presence of badgers may cause. Importantly, as badgers and their setts are protected by law, we are limited by what we can do at first, but it's always worth a call to us. If we need to work on or near a badger sett, we are happy to apply for the correct Badger Licence from Natural England which is needed before any significant building, fencing or other works can be started. Please Contact Us if you have any badger-related problems.
