Survey and Monitoring Training

This training day is aimed at beginners and those who would like to refresh their theory in surveying for badgers. We will also cover monitoring for both our own volunteers and briefly covering monitoring for development purposes.

What will I get out of it?

A sound understanding of the signs of badger activity and setts and a general understanding of how to survey and what to look for at arrival of a sett.

What will I need?

The training is partly done in the classroom and partly in the field, so you would need to bring stout footwear (walking boots or sturdy wellies), waterproofs, packed lunch, and walking stick if required.  You will need to be fit and healthy and able to walk on uneven ground for a reasonable distance.

The training is free to Lancashire Badger Group members and £20 for non members.

Contact volunteering@lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk to book a place.
